Hayek Hospital major events:

• Since May 2004, the management has joined forces with the "Lebanese University". Every semester, Hayek Hospital's premises and specially the Emergency Room, the Intensive Care Unit, the Operating Room and the Medical Floors will welcome four permanent residents from the "Faculty of Medical Science / Lebanese University" in order to provide mutual benefits and continuous formation.

• June 2004, the Nephrology Department has been affiliated to the "Saint Joseph University". A permanent resident of Nephrology will be present in the department on a rotation basis. By being affiliated to two major Medical Universities, we will be able to provide better services to our patients and thus carry Hayek Hospital to a higher level.

• November 8,9,10,11 2004, Hayek Hospital received two official Auditors from the certificate body company "AFAQ France" in order to evaluate the Q.M.S. (Quality Management System) that have been crafted and implemented since February 2001 in collaboration with one of the leading companies in the consulting industry, "APAVE". Due to the evaluation of our quality system, we obtained the "ISO : 9001" (International organization for Standardization) certificate and was accredited as being a  highly standardized quality services provider and thus deliver the best care possible to our patients.

• December 2004, Hayek Hospital will embrace 2005 with a new project. The facade of the building will be completely reworked in order to give Hayek Hospital a unique architectural look in the region Designed by Fady Fares (Architect-Alba graduate) and Joanna Hayek Fares (Graphic Designer-AUB graduate). This new look will reflect the image of a new and modern hospital that provides to its patients the highest quality services in the area. • August 2005, we introduced free wireless internet connection to all our patients, doctors staff and visitors hence being the first hospital in Lebanon to provide such a service, plus: completely free. Anyone carrying a laptop, a PDA (Pocket Pc) or communicator with built-in WiFi, can have access to fast internet connect in all Hayek Hospital's premises.
